The beams are cut! That was a mission and a half!

The next Youtube video is taking a little longer than the others have, and for good reason – I want to build the mezzanine over two videos.

The first video is hopefully going to be finished this weekend and will be the beams cut, the posts cut and welded, and if I’m really lucky they will be assembled. The second video will be to put in the purlins, floor and ladder making it into a useable space.

As of this post the beams and posts are cut and this weekend will be welding the mounting plates back onto the posts and then fitting the posts into their final position, and if I am able to get a hand from the guy on the estate that owns the forklift I’ll get the beams on the top. Then they will just need drilling and bolting secure and the first video will be ready to go.

The Mezzanine has become a major bottleneck in the build as it is taking up over three quarters of the floor space, but once it is built I’ll not only get that three quarters back but I’ll also gain another half which will allow for a full first fit and make the space useable as a workshop for the first time.

There is other complications this weekend that will be revealed as and when, but fingers crossed I’ll be able to get this first video out.
