Weeks of work has finally got me in the air.
It feels like it’s been so long since I last uploaded a YouTube video. I really wanted to build the mezzanine in a single video rather than a ‘Follow for part 2’ deal but it’s taking so long!
With the limited time I have around a full time work and a full time family the time on this release has been stretching on and on.
But things took a massive step forward yesterday as the purlins are all fitted and ready to go. I also took the chance to throw a single floorboard up there just so I could stand on the top for the first time… it feels really high!
I’m incredibly proud of myself for making this work. I took a big risk with this particular nightmare – nobody else was brave enough to take this mezzanine and those beams on. I’ve not only got it to work in my space but I’ve got it to be the perfect solution to my needs!
Over the next few days the floorboards will be screwed in and then the video will be uploaded to YouTube. The mez won’t be 100% complete, there will be follow up videos of painting, installing the ladder and more. For now though it’ll be at a point where it’ll be complete enough for people to get use from it when considering their own build.
