Making the space into a useable workshop.
With the wife and daughter away at dance competitions I had a lot of time to get some housework done, until I hurt myself…
Another massive step forward for the workshop in this video, it feels like the entire time I’ve been in this place it’s been a dumping ground for clutter and junk that I’ve accumulated over the years, and every job has involved moving a pile of stuff beforehand.
Everything has had to be done in order, I couldn’t get the ramp in without the floor clear, but i needed shelves to clear the floor, so the mezzanine had to be done first. With the mezzanine done the progress has been fast, moving the furniture upstairs and laying out the office space clears the area where the shelves had to go, which then cleared the floor.
Building the shelves was very satisfying, and I’m really pleased with both the usefulness of them and also the quality of the fitting and shaping around the posts and pillars, I’m happy with what I’ve done for sure!
Right now there is a lot more stuff to arrive. I probably wont film the arrival of the rest of the bits that I have to come in but I will when the tooling arrives, whether that lands before the 4 post ramp I’m not sure, but one of those two will be the next video.
