Views are creeping up, this is epic!
It’s an interesting email to receive. I know that views will come and the number will always go up but the numbers still surprise me.
The majority of my content has been legacy rather than current – how to guides don’t get instant views as nobody is watching a how to guide unless they need to do the thing in the video, but there will almost always be a need for that video when people need to do the job themselves and thats where legacy content thrives.
if 10 people a month need my guide to help them with a job then I get 10 views. But with 20 guides I get 200 views. with 500 guides i get 5000 views, it’s a very slow way to do YouTube, the exact opposite of jumping on current trends where numbers are higher but legacy views don’t exist.
All I can do is keep posting and hope that my content finds my audience, and develop my style to me entertaining as well as helpful, maybe I’ll get some entertainment viewership at some point.
Still good fun though, and 35k views is insane!
